Thank You!

Thank you to everyone who joined us, or tried to join us, for our zombie wedding in Marietta! We were so thrilled to share our day with all of you and are touched that everyone was willing to subject themselves to the freezing cold temperatures of the deep south. 25 degrees and snow flurries for my outside wedding, baby!

I want to extend a special thanks to my parents, Bill and Joyce Schauerte (pictured below) for everything they did to make our wedding happen. I am so grateful to have such wonderful parents, and I hope you enjoyed your trip. Next time I promise to show you the sights rather than force you to engage in manual labor.

Also thank you to my new parents, John and Marianne Reida, who did so much to make this day special; and to all of the people who spent the week with us and gave us their time and effort, especially my bridesmaids (Katie Holt, Zoe Marcus, Becky Simoens and Deanna Mollahan) and Scott’s groomsmen (Mark Reida, Troy Smith, Adam Bierce and Charles Baxter). A lot of work by a lot of people went into this day, and we are so thankful!

Please check out our photos added. More are coming soon!

A Message from the Bride and Groom

We wanted to have a zombie-themed wedding because both of us love Halloween so much. What better way to commemorate our day than with hay bales, costumes, jack o’lanterns, and merry ghosts?

While we’re not going to walk down the aisle dressed like zombies, we are going to add lots of Halloween flair. Anyone who wants to wear a Halloween costume is more than welcome. We’re going to decorate each table with a Halloween theme, and our food will have a Halloween touch (hard cider, Fall martinis, spider cupcakes). We’ll also set up a fire pit so everyone can toast marshmallows if they feel like it.

For the kids (and Scott), we’re constructing a corn hole toss, zombie-building station, and erecting a piƱata. We also have a few other things up our sleeve.

Thank you all for joining us on our special day! We promise it’ll be an experience like no other…
